Welcome.
A garden need not be perfect, but it should be the perfect place to stay for a while.
Settled next to an old carriage house the garden provides a retreat from the busy streets of the Mission district. Mature plum trees provide a cooling respite on hot days, white clouds of blossom signal spring, and bountiful buckets of fruit are enjoyed by all come summer. Cattle troughs, wash tubs, and window shutters make for playful planters that ebb and flow with foliage through the seasons.
The rear of the garden is the heart of the operation. Here you’ll find my potting bench, often stacked with pottery and to-do’s, as well as the orangery which serves as the event space and studio. A large fragrant orange tree takes centerstage and is surrounded by a floating garden of fern-filled planters.
Whatever time of year you visit there’s always something to indulge the mind and escape for a while.
